Its, café bars, ice cream parlours, market stalls and street vendors offering hand-made gifts, henna tattoos, hair braiding and children's ride on animals for hire also make it ideal for a family stroll on a warm Summer evening.The beachfront has a wide, pedestrianised promenade with street lighting that runs the full 7km from the old town marina, to just South of the airport at it most Northern point. This makes it ideal for cycling, jogging or just an evening stroll. There are beautiful, tradtional Spanish, beach-front properties, sailing clubs, beach bars (Chiriguitos) and the occasional children's play park dotted along its length. The distinct lack of loud music bars, tacky gift shops or “looky, looky" men means this beautiful sea front promenade has retained its relaxed family feel which is the main draw for many tourists to this area.Venture further away from the town and you will find an area dedicated to late night music and disco bars, a modern shopping indoor shopping centre with multi-screen cinema and arcade. In addition, the town also hosts Summer fun fair, a circus, and an evening market during July and August.
