The Costa Blanca is a popular holiday destination. Not surprisingly: living there is very good. We give you 6 good reasons to buy a holiday home on Spain’s Costa Blanca.
1. The Costa Blanca is easily accessible
From the Netherlands and Belgium, you can fly to the Costa Blanca in a few hours. From various Belgian and Dutch airports, you can travel daily to Valencia, Alicante or Murcia.

2. Pleasant summers, mild winters
Summers on the Costa Blanca are hot but temperatures of 40 degrees and above almost never occur – ideal for those who cannot stand the heat. In July and August, the average daytime temperature is around 32 degrees. Winters are mild, with afternoon temperatures between 18 and 21 degrees. This makes the Costa Blanca a wonderful destination for overwintering. Spring and autumn are also lovely here, with temperatures fluctuating between 23 and 28 degrees.
3. Europe’s healthiest climate
The World Health Organisation has declared the Costa Blanca the region with the healthiest living environment in Europe. This is due to its microclimate: in the hinterland there is a mountain range that acts as a buffer for weather influences from inland and from the sea. This climate is beneficial for people with rheumatism or other muscle or joint complaints, skin conditions or asthma. Not to mention the benefits of the sun, both for the body and the mind.
4. Hospitable people
The Spanish people on the Costa Blanca are hospitable and friendly. Unlike in other places in Spain, most locals also speak English. This makes it easier to communicate and integrate. Who knows, you might make new friends!
5. Boredom never strikes at the Costa Blanca
Besides the clear blue sea and beautiful golden beaches with numerous water sports, the Costa Blanca has a beautiful interior. Mountains and lakes, authentic villages with cosy markets, castles and fortresses, valleys full of fruit trees or vineyards: nature lovers get their money’s worth here! There are also many beautiful cities with art and culture, golf courses, safari and nature parks… Need we go on? All the elements are here to enjoy life!
6. Good food
Mediterranean cuisine on the Costa Blanca is not only healthy but also very tasty. In addition, partly due to the many expats, you can taste many international influences, e.g. Japanese, Indian, French, fusion… There is no lack of delicious food! And to keep everything in balance, just take a nice walk on the beach or take a refreshing dip in the sea or the swimming pool… That’s the good life!
It should be clear: living on the Costa Blanca means enjoying sun, sea, beach, beautiful nature and good food. The positive atmosphere here is contagious: it is difficult not to walk around with a smile on your face all day long!
