For 3 to 5 years (depending on the project), you’ll receive a guaranteed return averaging 8 per cent, and sometimes as high as 11 per cent, on your investment. You’ll also receive shares in the company purchasing the property. After those 3 to 5 years, you’ll get your full investment back. And… you remain a co-owner of the property. You’ll continue to receive an annual dividend, and your shares will automatically increase in value each year as the property appreciates. You no longer have any of your own money tied up in it, so your co-ownership is effectively free from that point onwards and your returns are unlimited.
